Before you get too excited, realize that he's now the bluest of the blue dogs. That may help out on a few issues, but it still means trouble on a lot of others. So, it's small good news, but it's still a problem to be fixed. It will help us make this seat a Democratic seat, as it should be, and should help Al Franken get seated (if Harry Reid is worth his salt, which is questionable), but it would still be better for a progressive to be in this seat.
Sign on to pledge to support a progressive against Specter in the primary. It's the least we can do.
